The Air-Bike has a fan, which uses air resistance to scale the intensity of the workout - the harder and faster you peddle, the higher the resistance and the harder the workout will be. No messing about with knobs and gears for different levels of resistance; if you want a less intense workout, simply cycle slower for less resistance.
